NUSRAT ALAM
The purpose of me running the Marathon course in Cooperstown,NY is to enable students across the country who have a desire to help and be professinally trained in using therapy to relief dogs that have seen the many horrors of war, and are currently suffering from PTSD. These wars not only negativley affect both soldiers and civilians but also dogs. These are the ramifications for ongoing wars, for those who fought and for those who defended. This race is a reminder that we can uplift our community no matter what war may do; there are many ways to take care and help these communities. I hope that I can bring together more people like us to play a part in revitalizing the community in any way we can. Dedicating a whole marathon is surely an way, but also raising awareness through fundrasing is another! If you feel like you have the monetary means you can donate in terms of money, but learning about VetDogs is another way to give your support!
If you can't do either then you can surely travel to Copperstown with a funny poster to cheer up the runners & seeing me!!!!! Cooperstown has small-town charm and world-class attractions including the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum, a must-see for fans of the game and the ultimate homage to America's Pastime. Discover fine, folk, and Native American art at Fenimore Art Museum.
